12 questions about COVID-19 vaccine, look at the answers.

On the afternoon of March 28th, the State Council Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism held a press conference to introduce the vaccination and supply guarantee in COVID-19. As of March 27th, 2021, 102.417 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been reported in various places.

About COVID-19 vaccine, the conference also introduced these latest news.

1. What should I do if I am not sure if I am suitable for vaccination?

If it really belongs to the vaccination taboo, it is impossible to provide vaccination services. If it is listed in the vaccination items, it is recommended to tell the vaccination doctor truthfully before vaccination. So that doctors can fully evaluate and determine whether it is suitable for vaccination.

2. How long is the vaccine protection period?

COVID-19 vaccine is a new vaccine. According to the antibody level, it will be monitored for more than six months. But we also know that antibody is not the only protective indicator, and there are other factors in the process of vaccine’s function. Therefore, we should do relevant research on the persistence of the vaccine to confirm how long its protection period is.

3. I have been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine. Do I need to be vaccinated again?

According to Zhongsheng of Sinopharm, during the whole clinical research, it is now observed that the persistence of vaccine protection is about half a year, and the persistence of neutralizing antibodies is also about half a year. In the clinical process of the overall design, the booster needle was designed to observe the persistence and protection level of antibodies. At present, the preliminary results show that booster needle can effectively improve the titer of neutralizing antibodies, effectively improve the persistence of antibodies, and also effectively improve the anti-mutation ability of vaccines.

In the future, phase III clinical research will be carried out overseas to continuously observe the persistence of antibodies and protection. Is it necessary to carry out booster vaccination? When will you call? Still have to answer according to the results of the next three clinical studies.

4. What is the preventive effect of COVID-19 vaccine?

The vaccine itself can prevent infection, morbidity, severe illness and death. Now, the effectiveness result we get is the result of our clinical experiment. With the application of the vaccine, we will also carry out related research on its protective effect after marketing.

5. How to ensure the supply of vaccines in COVID-19?

On the one hand, actively and steadily expand the vaccination service capacity, optimize the vaccine distribution process, and improve the efficiency of circulation and operation. To scientifically arrange the turnover quantity of vaccines, the requirement is not to overstock the inventory, and to increase the number of inoculation points and inoculation stations in various ways to meet the vaccination needs of the masses. On the other hand, it is necessary to strengthen the linkage between departments and coordinate the industrial and information departments to strengthen the supply guarantee of vaccines.

6. After the first injection, how long is the best time to inject the second injection?

After the first dose of vaccination, the interval between the second dose of vaccination should be greater than or equal to three weeks, and the second dose of vaccination should be completed as soon as possible within 8 weeks after the first dose of vaccine.

7. If you catch up with a business trip or go out, can you get a second shot in a different place?

According to the guidelines, it is recommended to use the varieties of the same enterprise as much as possible to complete two doses of vaccination. If the same variety is not available in different places, then other vaccine products of the same kind can be replaced to complete two doses of vaccination.

Effective period

8. If I miss the second dose of vaccination for some reason, how can I make it up?

For those who have not completed 2 or 3 doses of COVID-19 vaccine according to the procedure, it is suggested to replant as soon as possible. There is no need to restart the immunization program, just replant and complete the corresponding dose.

9. Some vaccine developers have been vaccinated in February and March last year. What are the antibodies in these people?

Some people, as the vanguard of vaccines, have been vaccinated with inactivated vaccines in COVID-19. We are constantly monitoring the change data of antibodies in their bodies. At present, we have obtained the antibody monitoring data for 9 months. Judging from the current data, the antibodies in 9 months still have a certain level. We will continue to strengthen monitoring in the future.

10. Will foreign virus variation affect the effectiveness of existing vaccines?

Vaccine research and development units and production units pay great attention to dealing with the variation problem. Two inactivated vaccines of Sinopharm Group China Bio, using the serum after the second and third clinical trials at home and abroad, have carried out cross-comprehensive experiments on the strains found in South Africa and Britain, as well as more than 10 strains found in different regions and epidemic areas in China. The results show that neutralizing antibodies produced by the two inactivated vaccines have a good neutralizing effect on these strains. Small variation of the virus will not affect the antigenicity of the vaccine, that is, the vaccine will be effective without variation of protective antigen, especially the whole virus inactivated vaccine.

11. How to advance the national plan for vaccination of the elderly?

At present, Beijing, Shanghai and other regions have been vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine for some elderly people over 60 years old and patients with chronic diseases who are willing to be vaccinated and in good physical condition under the premise of fully evaluating the health status and infection risk of the vaccinated objects. In the next step, we will actively and steadily promote the vaccination of people over 60 years old and patients with chronic diseases in combination with the use effect of vaccines in large-scale populations.

12. When will people under the age of 18 be vaccinated?

Last year, the phase I/II clinical research conducted by China Bio in Henan covered the systematic, safe and immunogenic clinical research of the young age group of 3-17 years old. At present, the safety data of this age group have been completely obtained, and the expected results have been achieved. The detection of immunogenicity and neutralizing antibodies has also been completed. We will communicate with the Food and Drug Administration in the near future, and I believe that this group of people can be covered in the near future.

Domestic down jacket sold for 7000 yuan? The supplier gives the truth behind the "high price"

Recently, the report that "domestic down jacket sold for 7000 yuan" attracted attention. As a clothing manufacturer and trader, Meng Zhuo is puzzled by this.

"Some high-priced situations are marked, and there are often discounts when actually selling." Meng Zhuo opened the e-commerce platform on his mobile phone and said, "You see that some of them have a price tag of 2,000 yuan, and after the discount, it will be 129 yuan."

In his long-term experience, the price of conventional down jackets has not risen for many years, and even showed a downward trend in the price war of involution. The prediction of this year’s warm winter also made the down jacket not rebound obviously when the consumption recovery was not as good as expected.

To this end, the first financial reporter conducted an investigation and interview, and the suppliers of winter clothes told the truth: the price tag is not the actual price, and the high price is not the price increase.

There is no price increase for the regular basic model.

Pu Xiaojuan, deputy general manager of Suzhou Fannuo Textile Co., Ltd., has the same feelings as Meng Zhuo. "The cheap down jacket brand, the overall pricing this year is similar to last year." She told CBN that the sales of most brands in various time periods are discounted, and in the end, they must cater to the psychology of the market. The general actual price cannot be ridiculously high.

Suzhou Fannuo Textile Co., Ltd. mainly supplies fabrics for high-end down jacket brands. Pu Xiaojuan said that in terms of fabrics, the price of conventional fabrics has not risen, which is basically the same as last year. The affordable e-commerce and lightweight down jackets corresponding to these conventional fabrics sold well in previous years, but this year they only lasted for a week and ended. The total amount is not as good as in previous years, and there is naturally no motivation for price increases.

"The price of down jackets sold domestically is basically more than five times the actual price. Some e-commerce platforms are even cheaper. " Meng Zhuo said that in proportion, light down jackets have accounted for the majority of sales in recent years, and they are also one of the most commonly bought winter clothes by ordinary consumers. The price of this kind of clothing has never risen in the context of rising global prices.

Wu Dongming, the person in charge of Hengxin Weaving Co., Ltd. told CBN that the price of the basic down jacket fabric has not changed. "It basically can’t go up, even if it has gone up slightly recently, it may only make the enterprise lose a little."

The person in charge of Jiangsu Tianwei Textile also admitted that from the overall supply, the market demand this year is lower than expected. In terms of price, "basically, it can’t go up unless new products and old products are reduced in price."

Taking into account the shelf life of the market, Meng Zhuo said that for manufacturing factories, the export orders for down jackets have been delivered this winter, and overseas sales are coming to an end in November, as is the case in China. "After New Year’s Day, there are basically few people who buy them … … Needless to say, the factory for domestic sales has basically slowed down at present, mainly supplying small-scale replenishment orders.

That is to say, on the one hand, the tag price is not the actual price, on the other hand, the high price on the market today is only some high-end or differentiated products, which does not correspond to the "general increase" of the industry — — A large number of conventional affordable clothing and even raw materials have not seen price increases.

Hu Kehua, deputy director of the Social Responsibility Office of China National Textile and Apparel Council, told CBN that the overall global economy was tired, and even though the China market was stable as a whole, there was no obvious improvement in terms of the prices of fabrics and clothing. Recently, the lower-priced down jackets have ushered in some sales due to the approaching cold wave, which has led to certain price increase expectations at the end of down and other materials.

  Supply chain behind high price

"Last year, the same thing sold more expensive this year, but this year’s things are different from many before. (The pricing of different products is different) is not called price increase." Zhou Jianchun, general manager of Wujiang Shengwei Bauhinia Textile Co., Ltd. told CBN. Zhou Jianchun, who is also a fabric supplier of down jackets, thinks that the word "material" can describe their products more accurately than fabric. Because the material of down jacket now goes beyond the scope of traditional fabrics, it emphasizes more and more the sense of science and technology and new functions, and also incorporates materials such as nano-breathable film, volcanic materials and parachutes.

Wu Dongming also mentioned that there is no change in the basic model, and the price is increased by the deep-processed materials. "The fabrics used in winter clothes such as down jackets this year are completely different."

Pu Xiaojuan said that this year’s hot-selling and high-priced down jackets are mainly those with certain scientific and technological content and partial functionality. This is also the differentiation strategy pursued by brands in recent years in order to seize the mid-to high-end market. Correspondingly, it is the change of consumer demand — — From the original emphasis on warmth and appearance style, it has become more and more functional and scientific, and is willing to pay for it.

Zhou Jianchun also said that consumers’ demand for clothing has changed obviously, and the pursuit of technology and functionality of a garment has become a new fashion trend. "This year, the fabrics of the technology series and the corresponding down jackets sell particularly well."

"In the past few years, the prices of some conventional down jackets went down, and the involution was seriously playing a price war. However, the prices of down jackets of some brands have been raised all the time, and it is true that things have been done better. " Zhou Jianchun thinks that 70% of the differentiated competition of brands comes from the difference of fabrics, and "more functional and technological fabrics are needed to meet the needs of the consumer market". More functional needs to be realized by science and technology. For example, some down jacket materials can not only prevent wind, store heat and keep warm, but also prevent dirt and oil. When the materials originally used in parachutes are used in clothing, the strength can be improved by more than 1.5 times compared with the traditional ones. A nano-scale film can let water vapor out, but liquid water can’t enter, and at the same time, it has the functions of perspiration, ventilation and waterproof.

In addition to functionality and technology, under the global trend of low carbon, high-priced down jackets and fabrics usually need low-carbon environmental protection and renewable elements. These are directly reflected in the product structure, order volume and profit rate of the supply chain.

"We started this year, and the conventional lining materials are all renewable materials." Pu Xiaojuan said that today’s materials must have their own characteristics, and they cannot follow the crowd. Those traditional homogeneous materials are highly competitive and have little profit. To this end, since 2019, they have given up their original customers and conventional products, added independent R&D and sample management teams, changed the passive mode of doing development with business, and actively transformed into renewable and technological fabrics. After several years of running-in, they have also gained a doubling of the order amount in these two years. "This year’s orders are expected to increase by 1.75 times, and last year’s increased by 1.2 times." Prior to this, the annual orders were almost flat.

Traditional fabrics are declining instead of increasing, but for Pu Xiaojuan, the price of their new materials is more than 30% higher than that of conventional fabrics, which is a rise in volume and price. "Some friends’ enterprises also achieved the performance of last year in August this year."

Pu Xiaojuan revealed that they have a vest heating lining jointly developed, and one meter of cloth can be used on several down jackets. The recent orders have been added. "The original order should have ended in October, and now the scale of replenishment has doubled. A domestic brand of this down jacket may have sold more than 1 million pieces. "

Zhou Jianchun said that the company’s overall sales this year were the same as last year, but the sales increased by more than 30%. "The price of some (new) fabrics is 2-3 times that of the conventional ones".

Jiangnan, head of Romulan Group Outdoor New Materials Co., Ltd., told CBN that since 85% of the company’s orders are mainly for export, this year is inevitably affected by geopolitical and weak market factors. "Originally (this year’s sales) were expected to increase by 20% this year, but the actual forecast is only 8%." However, this growth is in the case of constant quantity, which also means that the price has been significantly improved because of the innovative transformation of outdoor fabrics and the introduction of new products.

Not only the high-end functional down jackets, but also the changes in the market and supply chain have made outdoor-related jackets sell better this year. "Many listed textile companies may not meet the overall performance standards, but the related sales of jackets are good". However, Jiangnan believes that, like down jackets with functions such as coping with extreme cold, this kind of clothing is a product with a small customer base in scale, and it is also a high-end subdivision that is less affected by the transfer of traditional textile and clothing production capacity.

Whether it is clothing or material manufacturing, another motivation to support high prices lies in branding. As enterprises in China pay more and more attention to brand building, the polarization of the consumer market will become more and more obvious.

"Now more and more brands and garment manufacturers are using the design concept of Chinese and foreign integration, and at the same time, they are more and more concerned about the brand effect, which will be expensive." Jiangnan feels that, more accurately, brands have brought about an increase in the added value of products, and there will be two extremes in the future — — Cheaper and more expensive.

Zhou Jianchun said that, like clothing brands, the development and transformation of fabric enterprises also need brand building, and in recent years, with the brand transformation of local industrial chain and the introduction of designers, they have also achieved certain brand effects, which is one of the reasons for raising prices. "Some similar fabrics can be sold a little more expensive than their peers."

In terms of design and style, Wu Dongming said that Chinese style elements have also become popular recently.

Regarding industrial transfer, Jiangnan pointed out that compared with Southeast Asia, China’s manufacturing industry still has certain advantages. First, the demographic dividend is not as good as before, but it still exists. Secondly, the completeness of China’s industrial chain is the most important reason, especially the functional fabric and clothing innovation, which takes time and experience to accumulate. Thirdly, China has a vast domestic market. Even if the export uncertainty increases, it can find a greater balance in the two-legged walk of domestic and foreign trade. Therefore, in addition to adapting to changes in market demand and brand transformation, they will also make a more rational global layout.

Days and Nights in Wuhan shocked the audience by showing the story of the heroic city war epidemic in Han Dynasty.

Original title: The anti-epidemic documentary film Days and Nights in Wuhan shocked the audience by showing the heroic city war epidemic story in Han Dynasty.

Record life with life, and create a heroic hymn of ordinary people. The first domestic anti-epidemic documentary film co-produced by the Propaganda Department of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Film Channel and Hubei Radio and Television Station held a special screening ceremony for Hubei media at Kaide 1818 Lumiere Cinema in Wuchang on the afternoon of 16th. During the epidemic in COVID-19 at the beginning of last year, the photojournalist of Changjiang Daily was always on the front line of anti-epidemic, and his work was selected as the material for the anti-epidemic documentary film Days and Nights in Wuhan. More than a dozen Hubei media reporters, representatives of some hospitals and communities in Wuhan, and some filming teams that provided materials for Days and Nights in Wuhan watched the film.

Not a voice-over, not a line.

Sun Tzu recited Tang poems to cheer up his grandfather in the intensive care unit; The husband cried in front of the camera, saying that his wife wanted to live and made delicious food and sent it to the hospital. Medical couples in Jinyintan Hospital spend the night in the car outside the hospital to avoid infecting their families … …

There is no popular actor and no designed acting skills. Every character and story in Days and Nights in Wuhan comes from the real record at the peak of Wuhan epidemic last year. The film was shot by more than 30 photographers in several hospitals, and many shots went deep into the intensive care unit. The audience could see scenes that they could not see at ordinary times: medical staff feeding patients, changing medicine, turning over and scrubbing their bodies, including surgery and rescue.

The camera was also aimed at the patients’ families and volunteers outside the hospital. They also fought to win time for the patients’ recovery and the smooth delivery of pregnant women. These pictures have no processing or rendering, and truly show the real picture of people fighting the epidemic in a city.

The most touching picture in the film is that just after a patient was sent away, a little life came into this world crying. This is the alternation of death and life, which is the continuation of life hope. The birth of a little life also smeared a bunch of bright colors for the world.

Dozens of times in the film, the images of Wuhan city were inserted, from the initial dark clouds, to the bright lights in the three towns during the joint fight against the epidemic, to the turning of Wuhan into safety when cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Raindrops from the Yellow Crane Tower, lonely cyclists on the Yangtze River Bridge, birds on the branches of hospitals, and the streets and alleys in Wuhan seemed to all talk, telling that our city was in a critical moment, we were United as one, we were fighting, and we would surely defeat the virus.

More than 1000 hours of precious materials, 30 first-line photographers of war and epidemic, recorded their lives with their lives, and created heroic hymns of ordinary people. The film didn’t use a voice-over or write a line. Everything is extremely real, and it conveys more love and warmth, which is to cherish our hard-won happy life now.

"Delicate restraint, gentle telling", "plain with the power to hit people’s hearts", "the lens language is full of beauty" and "the real record is better than the top performance" … … Many people expressed such admiration after watching it.

The medical staff looked down with tears all the time.

"The whole process was seen with tears. The camera language brought me to that moment last year, when my colleagues and I joined hands to die. Seeing the medical staff in the movie, I also saw my colleagues and I were there. "

After the screening, Chen Sheng, a doctor’s representative from Wuhan No.7 Hospital, said that the most impressive scene was the baby’s first cry in the morning, which suddenly pulled his heart up. At that time, his tears could not stop flowing downwards, because it represented new life and hope.

Chen Sheng’s colleague, Dr. Chen Huifang, said that she also watched it with tears in her eyes. This film brought her back to the difficult period of fighting the encounter. She saw the figure of her colleague and the story of the heroic Wuhan people. What moved her in particular was to see an old man in the film who remained optimistic, strong and humorous after more than ten days of treatment, and the scene of the birth of a newborn. The tenacity of life made her shed tears.

Yao Shanglong, the chief physician from Wuhan Union Medical College Hospital, is not only an anti-epidemic fighter, but also a person who recovered from COVID-19 infection. After watching Days and Nights in Wuhan, Yao Shanglong said with emotion that he spent more than 30 days and nights in the ward a year ago. He saw not only doctors but also patients. He experienced volunteers driving him home and community staff serving him, which fully demonstrated that Wuhan is a heroic city. This epidemic is ruthless, but there is love in the world, which fully embodies the spirit of great love of Wuhan people. It will be difficult for everyone in 2020, and everyone will be great.

What the film gives him is objective, real and touching, with life and death in it, but it gives people positive energy, the optimism of our medical staff and our patients, and the support of our family and all walks of life. During his stay in hospital, it was these that made Yao Shanglong finally overcome his illness.

The film Days and Nights in Wuhan uses a lot of video materials from Tan Haiyan’s team of Hubei Radio and Television Station. After watching the screening, Tan Haiyan and photographers Wu Qin and Wang Wei were interviewed. Tan Haiyan said that this is the fourth time she has watched a film. What is different this time is that she watched it in the cinema for the first time. The fourth time I saw her, I still shed tears. The scene that made her cry was that the film changed from the first act to the second act, which was the empty mirror of Wuhan city. It’s so beautiful. She knows that it’s not easy for all the heroes of Wuhan people to be behind this beauty. It’s only after 76 days of fighting that we got such a beautiful night scene. (Reporter: Wan Jianhui)

Comb! Five misunderstandings of influenza entering high incidence period

CCTV News:At present, the flu season has entered, and the level of flu activity has been on the rise recently. However, everyone has some misunderstandings about the flu. Let’s sort it out.

Myth 1: This year’s flu is more serious than in previous years.

Every winter and spring is the high incidence of influenza. According to the monitoring data released by China CDC, the overall activity level of influenza in China is lower than that in the same period of last year, and will show a downward trend from the end of this month.

Song Tie, Deputy Director of Guangdong CDC.: "It is mainly influenza A (H1N1) virus. There are many outbreaks in primary schools this year, but at present, with the school holidays, this outbreak will gradually decrease."

Myth 2: This year’s influenza virus variants are easy to cause complications.

In the past two days, many parents have been fidgeting because of the news that "the flu virus turned to attack children’s brains this year". Does this year’s influenza virus mutate, and is it easy to cause complications? China CDC said that at present, no variation of influenza virus has been found in various places.

Whether you will get complications after suffering from the flu depends on the patient’s own resistance and the power of the virus. Generally speaking, influenza may cause pneumonia, myocarditis, or central nervous system diseases including encephalitis. This is not a new situation this year, so there is no need for excessive panic. However, these five groups of people should pay special attention. They are more likely to get flu complications than ordinary people and belong to high-risk groups.

  1. Children under 5 years old

  2. Older people over 65 years old

  3. Patients with chronic diseases and immune diseases

  4. Obese people

  5. Pregnant women

Myth 3: Strong people don’t have to be afraid of the flu.

Doctors said that people who are strong and have strong resistance should not think that their chances of getting the flu are low, so they don’t pay attention to rest and prevention, so that the virus also has the opportunity to take advantage of it, such as fatigue, hunger, or soaking clothes after sweating a lot. Among influenza complications, the incidence of myocarditis is higher in healthy young adults. This is because these people are more immune, and when they are invaded by the virus, their own defense system will also damage myocardial cells while removing the virus.

Myth 4: Influenza is treated as a common cold.

The doctor said that the symptoms of the common cold are mild, and most of them are respiratory symptoms such as sore throat, cough and stuffy nose, while the flu is accompanied by high fever above 38℃, chills, dizziness and headache, muscle aches, etc., and it is highly contagious. Once you have cold symptoms, you should go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis, and prescribe the right medicine. At present, antiviral drugs for influenza are prescription drugs, which must be taken under the guidance of a doctor. Antibiotics have no effect on influenza.

Myth 5: relying on "remedies" such as vinegar fumigation to prevent influenza

In order to prevent the flu, some people smoke vinegar at home. The doctor said that acetic acid can only kill bacteria when it reaches a certain concentration. Moreover, the flu virus is not a bacterium, and it cannot be killed by acetic acid at all. Blind vinegar fumigation will also aggravate the condition of patients with bronchitis and emphysema.

Others rely on oral vitamin C to prevent influenza. Doctors say that taking enough fruits and vegetables has the same effect as oral vitamin C, which can improve immunity, but it has no antiviral effect. According to the method of drinking Radix Isatidis and other traditional Chinese medicines to prevent influenza, the doctor said that Radix Isatidis is cool and not beneficial to all patients.

Yang Shuyu, President of Xiamen Medical Association, Fujian: "When a cold is prevalent, it is very important to pay attention to improving your immunity, instead of blindly taking drugs, which will affect and damage your immunity."

China Internet Illegal and Bad Information Reporting Center took stock of the top ten online rumors in May.

Blackmail virus, xiong’an new area, bike-sharing … These hot topics were concerned by netizens in May, and all kinds of online rumors also took the opportunity to fish in troubled waters and confuse the audience: "bike-sharing cushion is now’ AIDS needle’, and it will be infected when it is stuck", "Bitcoin ransomware can invade mobile phones" and "xiong’an new area compensation standard is announced" … China Internet Illegal and Bad Information Reporting Center sorted out the top ten online rumors in May to set the record straight.

Myth 1: floss is made of cotton.

In late May, a video was widely spread on WeChat group, saying that it was proved by washing and burning that some floss breads and cakes on the market were made of cotton. The video caused a lot of forwarding, which caused netizens to question and worry about food safety, and even related products were returned and removed from the shelves, causing great losses to some enterprises.

Truth:China food and drug administration’s official magazine "China Food and Drug Administration" and WeChat WeChat official account’s "CFDA China Food and Drug Administration" denied that the essence of dried meat floss is muscle fiber, and the main component is protein, which will melt when put into your mouth and taste soft. The essence of cotton is plant fiber, the main component is cellulose, which is an insoluble fiber. Although it looks soft, it is not chewy. In other words, if you really pretend to be floss with cotton, you will be seen through when you eat it! In addition, the "fire identification method" used in the video is not reliable. Protein, the main ingredient of the floss, is combustible, so it is normal to be ignited, and there will be a burnt smell. Combustibility does not prove that the floss is made of cotton.

Rumor 2: bike-sharing cushion is now an "AIDS needle", and it will be infected when it is tied.

At the end of May, pictures circulated on the Internet said that someone found a needle on the seat cushion of a bike-sharing, as if someone had done it on purpose. "Please pay attention to check when riding a bike. Some AIDS patients dye their blood on the needle. If they are stabbed, you will be infected."

Truth:First of all, scientific research shows that HIV cannot survive in air, water and food. Once you leave the human environment, the virus will soon lose its ability to spread. Secondly, the human body only ingests enough HIV to cause infection. The blood and liquid content on the needle is inherently low, and the amount of virus is even less. Therefore, even if there is virus residue on the needle, it is difficult for the number of viruses to reach the pathogenic conditions. In this regard, the yellow bike-sharing company ofo involved in the online picture issued a statement: "Xiaohuangche verified the cities involved in the rumor at the first time and did not find any situation mentioned in the rumor."

Proverbs 3: Bitcoin ransomware can invade iOS and Android phones.

After the outbreak of the Bitcoin blackmail virus "I want to cry", rumors about mobile phones being infected with this virus have come and gone. All kinds of information are widely spread on social networking platforms. There are rumors that "a new type of computer virus’ want to cry’ broke out around the world, and mobile phones will be invaded, whether it is Android or Apple!" At the same time, it also said, "This is an upgraded version of the ransomware. Once it is blackmailed, there is no way to save it at present, only prevention!"

Truth:According to feedback from network security agencies such as 360 and Cheetah, no bitcoin ransomware has been found to infect mobile phones. The ransomware is a virus aimed at Windows, and it is impossible to run on Android phones or Apple phones. However, experts also reminded that if the mobile phone is connected to the computer infected with the ransomware as a storage device, the files in the SD card of the mobile phone may be infected with the virus.

Proverbs 4: xiong’an new area compensation standard announced.

The news that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council decided to set up xiong’an new area has aroused widespread concern in society. Along with this hot topic, some rumors have also spread. In mid-May, there was a so-called "xiong’an new area Compensation Standard" circulating in the circle of friends, which claimed that every rural resident in Xiong ‘an New District, regardless of the size of their homestead, had three sets of houses with a total area of not less than 300 square meters.

Truth:The so-called "compensation standard" is a complete rumor. Previously, the Provisional Party Committee and Preparatory Committee of xiong’an new area, Hebei Province issued a clear paper entitled "Adhering to the People-Centered Concept and Seriously Formulating Land Expropriation and Relocation Policies". According to the paper, at present, the land requisition and relocation work in the new district is in the stage of investigation and consultation, and the Preparatory Committee of the new district has not released any content of "standards for requisition and relocation" in any form. On May 20th, Xiongxian Public Security Bureau made a punishment decision of 10 days’ administrative detention on Sun Moumou who was suspected of spreading rumors about "xiong’an new area compensation standard".

Proverbs 5: The video of "Taiyuan earthquake of magnitude 12" contains ransomware.

In mid-May, a message "The video of the earthquake with magnitude 12 in Taiyuan" was widely spread in the WeChat group: "Please pay attention to the news just received from other groups: Don’t open the video of the earthquake with magnitude 12 in Taiyuan, delete it immediately, it is a ransomware, especially the one with Alipay on the mobile phone. Just now the news was broadcast, and everyone started to transfer to each of their own groups. Don’t be fooled. "

Truth:Weibo, the official of "Taiyuan network police patrol law enforcement", denied the rumor, which is a rumor of "rubbing hot spots". First of all, the Taiyuan earthquake of magnitude 12 alone is very suspicious. Worldwide, the earthquake with the largest magnitude recorded was the one that occurred in Chile in 1960, with a magnitude of 9.5. Secondly, we can’t find any video titled "Taiyuan earthquake with magnitude 12" on the Internet. This is obviously a rumor that uses blackmail virus to rub hot spots.

Proverbs 6: From June 12306, I can only buy tickets.

At the end of May, a notice circulated on the Internet: 12306 will require registered users to use their bank cards for payment from June this year. At that time, users can only buy tickets for themselves, and children will not be able to buy tickets for their parents.

Truth:The 12306 National Railway Customer Service Center responded that without similar notice, a registered account can still buy tickets for five of the common contacts at the same time. Website registered users should have the same name as the payment bank account, but it does not affect everyone to use their own accounts to buy tickets for common contacts.

Myth 7: A horrible family photo.

In mid-May, a photo circulated on the Internet said that there was only one young man in a family of eight in Rudong County, Jiangsu Province, which was a horrible family photo.

Truth:The "only" young man in the photo @ Oh, there is Weibo. According to personal Weibo, there are not only these people in the family, but also brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts. The whole family adds up to 40 or 50 people. As for this photo, it was taken a few years ago to promote filial piety to the elderly, and did not let his uncle, aunt, sister and brother appear.

Proverbs 8: Female anchors hide in the Forbidden City at night and broadcast live.

After the May Day holiday, a video of "Female anchor staying at the Forbidden City for live broadcast of Cixi’s bed" was widely spread on the Internet. The woman in the video has been dressed in ancient costumes and broadcast live in the Forbidden City many times, and claimed that she would avoid the security of the Forbidden City and broadcast it again at night. That night, the woman filmed in a building similar to a palace, claiming to be "now alone in the Forbidden City".

Truth:On May 19th, the Beijing police informed that, after investigation, the offender Li (male, 27 years old) wanted to promote an online APP by supporting Zhou (female, 22 years old). Under the planning of Yang (male, 44 years old), the three entered the Forbidden City during the day on May 1st by purchasing tickets normally and broadcast live pictures. In the meantime, Yang and Li deliberately pretended to be netizens and proposed to broadcast live in the Forbidden City at night. That night, the three people went to an ancient imperial city scenic spot in Shunyi District to continue the live broadcast, and lied that the scene was in the Forbidden City, fabricating the false fact that the female anchor stayed in the Forbidden City for live webcast. According to the Law on Public Security Administration Punishment, the public security organs detained Yang for 10 days, Li for 10 days, and Zhou for 5 days (suspended due to illness).

Proverbs 9: Bananas are soaked in formaldehyde, and they will be poisoned if eaten.

At the end of May, a video of "Banana Soaked in Unknown Liquid" was widely circulated in Weibo, WeChat group and friends circle. Consumers are worried that the unknown liquid is a toxic liquid, and some even speculate that it is formaldehyde.

Truth:Wang Mingyue, a researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Products Processing, Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, said that the milky liquid in the video is a preservative. Bananas are perishable after picking, so they need to be preserved for long-distance transportation. At present, prochloraz, thiophanate-methyl and iprodione are mainly used as banana preservatives. These are internationally recognized low-toxic fungicides, which degrade quickly and are registered by the competent authorities and allowed to be used in banana preservation. The competent authorities have also formulated the corresponding recommended dosage and residue limit standards. Therefore, consumers do not need to worry at all, and bananas that have undergone formal preservation treatment can be safely eaten.

Myth 10: A drop of blood can measure cancer.

At the beginning of May, a "major breakthrough! The article "A drop of blood can be measured for cancer has been approved for clinical use" attracted attention on the Internet. The article mentioned: "The Luo Yongzhang team of the School of Life Sciences of Tsinghua University independently developed a kit, which can be used for cancer condition monitoring and treatment effect evaluation by patients only taking a drop of blood." Individual media and self-media then forwarded that "a drop of blood can measure cancer".

Truth:Professor Sudan of Zhejiang Cancer Hospital said that the statement that "a drop of blood can detect cancer" is not rigorous, and the role of tumor markers in tumor diagnosis is exaggerated. Up to now, there is no blood marker in the world that can accurately diagnose tumors. In fact, Luo Yongzhang himself once denied this, saying that "a drop of blood can detect cancer" is very inaccurate, and the exact statement should be "monitoring tumor".

1300 a day! Comparable to a five-star hotel, I can understand the business of pet foster care in one article

▎ Spring Festival pet foster care "a nest is hard to find".

During the Spring Festival, for pet owners who have travel plans, "staying behind" pets has become a big problem.

During the Spring Festival, the orders of pet foster care institutions around the country increased greatly, and there was a situation that "one cage is hard to find", and the price also rose. Some foster care institutions launched SVIP rooms as high as 1299 yuan/day, and the price was comparable to that of five-star hotels. In addition to pet foster care, "door-to-door feeding" is also a more cost-effective choice for pet owners. During the Spring Festival, the lowest price for door-to-door feeding of pet cats in Beijing is in 100 yuan/time, which is about 25 yuan’s holiday fare increase compared with the usual door-to-door feeding price.

For businesses, it is natural not to miss this good opportunity to make money. Pet foster care service is becoming a hot business. Before this year’s Spring Festival, Box Horse launched services such as on-site pet feeding and dog walking in Shanghai during the Spring Festival. The original price was 128 yuan, and the snapping price was 98 yuan.

In order to make pets have a good Spring Festival, pet owners and businesses have exhausted their minds. How is the pet foster care business during the Spring Festival? Which companies have laid out pet foster care business? This issue of titanium media and titanium map brings you attention.

The price of pet foster care per night is equal to that of five-star hotels.

Home feeding is more cost-effective

During the Spring Festival, many pet shops received a large number of foster care orders. The demand for pet foster care in Shanghai pet foster care shop this Spring Festival has increased by about 30% compared with last year. In October 2023, customers in Beijing pet foster care shop began to book rooms during the Spring Festival, and in December 2023, pet foster care rooms were fully booked. The owner of pet foster care in Guangzhou said that he would receive more than a thousand foster care orders during the Spring Festival. It is found that in some pet shops in Beijing, the Spring Festival foster care service should be reserved 15 -60 days in advance, which can be described as "a nest is hard to find".

The strong demand has also pushed up the price of pet foster care. Some pet owners said that the cost of pet foster care for 8 days during the Spring Festival has even been equal to the rent of apartment rooms in Beijing. The data of several pet foster care shops in Beijing were selected, and it was found that most pet shops have introduced rooms with different stalls, and basically every foster pet shop is equipped with a camera for pet owners to check the situation in real time. In addition, cleaning and disinfection are also standard in pet shops. In some rooms with higher fees, its supporting services will also increase services such as massage, accompanying play, free shuttle and bathing in the sun.

In some pet shops for cats, the price of some ordinary rooms is 100-200 yuan/day, and the daily price of luxury rooms is as high as 500 yuan. The difference between "deluxe room" and "ordinary room" lies in the size of the room, the number of cats accommodated and the supporting services. The price of "Sunshine Suite" in a pet shop in Sanlitun, Beijing is 899 yuan/day, and the daily price of "SVIP Room" in a pet shop in Baiziwan, Beijing is 1000 yuan/day, and the daily foster care price exceeds that of five-star hotels.

In addition, the price of foster dogs is higher than that of cats. In the pet shop in Sanlitun, Beijing, the price of the same type of room type foster dog is 100-300 yuan/day more expensive than that of the cat. If the foster care is calculated as 8 days during the Spring Festival, at least 800 yuan is needed, which is equivalent to the cat’s living expenses for nearly two months. If you want pets to receive better services, the total cost of foster care can reach 10392 yuan.

It is worth noting that in addition to foster cats and dogs, some pet shops offer foster rabbits and birds, and the daily price is below 100 yuan.

In addition to pet foster care, door-to-door feeding of pets is gradually becoming popular. Before the Spring Festival, there will be advertisements for door-to-door feeding services on social platforms, community corridors, elevators and other places. Most of these people who provide feeding services are private, and such people will label themselves as professionals such as "senior pet owners and pet store clerks". Door-to-door feeding services include food cleaning, adding food and water, shoveling excrement and adding sand, interactive play, health monitoring and so on. The charging standard varies according to the distance, the number of pets and holidays.

According to the titanium media and titanium map, the service price of door-to-door cat feeding in Beijing includes five aspects: cat feeding service fee, basic door-to-door fee, fare increase per kilometer, fare increase for multiple cats and fare increase on holidays. Among them, the prices of more than half of the "pet caregivers" are between 31 yuan and 40 yuan, and the average prices are 35.9 yuan/time and 37.7 yuan/time respectively; The average price of fare increase for "pet tutors" whose door-to-door distance exceeds 1km is 6.6 yuan/time, and the average price of fare increase for feeding one more cat is 7.4 yuan/time.

On holidays, almost all "pet caregivers" will increase their prices, with the range of 11-30 yuan/time accounting for over 70%, and the average price is 25.7 yuan. According to the lowest price during the Spring Festival, the daily price of feeding a cat at home is 99.3 yuan/day. Door-to-door feeding service can be selected once every 2-3 days, and the total cost during the Spring Festival is about 200-300 yuan, which is more cost-effective and cost-effective than pet foster care shops that have to pay every day.

Pet foster care business continues to heat up

There are more than 30,000 related enterprises registered in China.

The data shows that in 2023, the number of pet dogs in China was 51.75 million, an increase of 1.1% over 2022; The number of pet cats is 69.8 million, an increase of 6.8% compared with 2022; The consumption market of urban pets (dogs and cats) is 279.3 billion yuan, an increase of 3.2% compared with 2022. In the pet consumption market of more than 200 billion yuan, more and more pet supporting services are applied. The pet business is said to be a gold-sucking business for enterprises, and more and more brands are eyeing the pet service.

Before the Spring Festival this year, Box Horse APP launched the Spring Festival pet door-to-door feeding and dog walking service in Shanghai. Professional pet companions have more than one year’s experience in raising pets independently, and broadcast live video of the whole process to the owner.

It is reported that the service can only be used during the Spring Festival, and the date can be from the 27th of the twelfth lunar month to the 7th day of the first lunar month. The main contents of the service are changing water and feeding food at home, walking the dog and playing with you. This service was completed by the cooperation of Box Horse and unigo, a pet service brand. The company was established in June 2022, and mainly engaged in pet bathing, pet grooming, dog walking and door-to-door feeding services.

At present, there are more than 30,000 enterprises in China whose enterprise names, business scope or products and services include "pet foster care", and most of these enterprises were established between 2016 and 2020. Among them, in 2016, the registered growth rate of "pet foster care" related enterprises was the fastest, reaching 96.8%; In 2019, the number of registered enterprises related to "pet foster care" was the largest, reaching 7880. In terms of geographical distribution, Shanghai has the largest number of "pet foster care" related enterprises, reaching 3898; In addition, the number of "pet foster care" related enterprises in Guangdong Province and Jiangsu Province also exceeds 2,000.

Whether foster care or door-to-door feeding, there are certain security risks. In pet foster care, it is difficult to guarantee the sanitation of foster care environment, and pet shop staff are not well cared for. In the aspect of door-to-door feeding, it is not uncommon that the property of the pet owner is lost and the door-to-door feeding personnel are bitten by pets during feeding. At present, the pet foster care industry is still in an "extensive" state, and there is no unified service standard for pet foster care in the industry. In the future, the pet industry still needs to be further standardized to reduce security risks, so that this service can develop more sustainably.

Brand-new powertrain, BYD Han 2022 model with the highest pre-sale price of 322,800 yuan-can’t afford a domestic car?

In fact, the styling and interior of BYD Han has not changed at all in the 2022 model, and it is still a strong coupe style, and it is also full of BYD-style luxury and sense of technology. In addition to the technology-assisted configuration of armed teeth and the optional 15.6-inch large screen, BYD Han’s materials and color texture collocation can also be called the top name-this is a car that will be amazing at first sight, but after watching it more, you will feel that many design elements still come from it. And it appears on the streets of first-tier cities, and it doesn’t feel against it.

The core of the 2022 BYD Han can be said to have been upgraded in a comparable way, from the old DM system with 2.0T+ motor to DM-i and DM-p based on 1.5T engine. Compared with the previous generation DM, the fuel engine in the new powertrain is upgraded to hybrid exclusive 1.5T, which is more suitable for hybrid working conditions in calibration. At the same time, the cruising range of both DM-i and DM-p models is greatly improved. The whole system started with a pure electric cruising range of 121 kilometers. The DM-i flagship with a pre-sale price of 292,800 yuan has a pure electric cruising range of 242 kilometers, while the DM-p four-wheel drive flagship with the highest pre-sale price has a cruising range of 202 kilometers.

This kind of cruising range performance is actually to make up and greatly improve the short board that the old Han DM can only run short-distance local routes by pure electricity. When traveling long distances, the old DM is not really too fuel-efficient if it takes the high speed. After all, the pure electric cruising range of the previous generation DM with tens of kilometers plus self-charging SOC can only reach 70%. In long-distance travel, the battery combined motor becomes a burden. The updated hybrid system, used in daily cities, may not need engine intervention at all, and it is replaced by battery+motor pulling the engine to run.

To some extent, BYD Han has opened the "success password" of domestic high-end cars, because its pricing has not been regarded as "crazy", but has been widely accepted by the market, that is, people will really buy it. You know, at a price of about 300,000 yuan, you can already buy a high-end version of the joint venture brand B-class car, such as the Accord, Camry and Teana, and other traditional home and business cars. However, this is a domestic car, and although it still has some minor faults, it seems that it has begun to leave some joint venture cars behind, which is the embodiment of the product, and of course, it benefits from the green brand policy.

After 11 years of plastic limit, the use of plastic bags in Xi’ an is still very large, and the farmers’ market says that there is no substitute.

Today is World Environment Day.

World theme:Defend the blue sky, I am an actor.

China theme:Beautiful China, I am an actor.

Shaanxi theme:Beautiful Sanqin, national action

June 5th is World Environment Day.

On June 5, 1972, the United Nations held the first conference on human environment in Stockholm, Sweden, and adopted the famous Declaration on Human Environment and the Action Plan to protect the global environment. The 1,300 delegates from 113 countries and regions attending the conference suggested that the opening day of the conference be "World Environment Day".

On June 5th every year, the United Nations Environment Programme selects a member country to hold the commemoration of "World Environment Day", publishes the Annual Report on the Status of the Environment and commends the "Top 500 in the World", and formulates the theme of "World Environment Day" according to the world’s major environmental problems and environmental hotspots of that year.

In 2019, World Environment Day will be hosted by China, and its home event will be held in Hangzhou. On June 5th, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the United Nations Environment Programme will jointly host the World Environment Day Global Home Event in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

In order to protect the ecological environment, in 2008, China began to implement the "Plastic Restriction Order". For 11 years, what about the use of plastic bags in Xi ‘an? Yesterday (June 4th), the reporter from Huashang Daily visited several supermarkets and farmers’ markets in Xi ‘an and found that there were still a large number of plastic bags in use.

A number of supermarkets and farmers’ markets in Xi ‘an still have a large number of plastic bags in use. Vision china data map

Phenomenon: Old people often bring their own cloth bags.

On December 31st, 2007, the General Office of the State Council issued a notice on restricting the production, sale and use of plastic shopping bags, which was called "plastic restriction order" by the masses. The "Plastic Restriction Order" stipulates: "From June 1, 2008, the production, sale and use of plastic shopping bags with a thickness of less than 0.025mm are prohibited nationwide". Since June 1, 2008, the system of paid use of plastic shopping bags has been implemented in all supermarkets, shopping malls, bazaars and other retail places, and plastic shopping bags are not allowed to be provided free of charge.

Yesterday morning, the reporter saw in Yonghui Supermarket near Park South Road in Xi ‘an that there was a lot of people flowing. In the vegetable area, fruit area and grain area, there were free pre-packaged bags. Most customers used a separate bag for every purchase. An old lady who is choosing dishes has a cloth bag hanging on her shoulder. "This is my special cloth bag for buying vegetables. The shopping bag that can be carried in the supermarket is charged. I have this to save money and protect the environment." The old lady said, "My cloth bag will be washed once in a few days, and it is very clean to use."

The reporter of Huashang Daily noticed that many elderly people in supermarkets are carrying cloth bags or other reusable bags.

Supermarket: Free prepackaged bags are used in large quantities.

Mr. Lu, a staff member in the vegetable area of the supermarket, said: "Free prepackaged bags can use 2-3 rolls per day on average, with about 1,000 bags per roll. Compared with the plastic bags charged at the checkout counter, these free bags are used more."

Customer service supervisor Mao Dandan has worked in this supermarket for 10 years. "Shopping bags used at the checkout are all charged, small two hairs and big three hairs. Under normal circumstances, the number of shopping bags charged per month can be 20,000-30,000. In the peak period of the Chinese New Year holiday, the number of shopping bags charged per month can be 40,000-50,000. "

Mao Dandan said: "Overall, compared with before 2008, the use of plastic bags has declined, but it is difficult to eliminate it. Young people think that buying a plastic bag is not much money, and they can use it as garbage bags when they go home."

Yesterday morning, the reporter from Huashang Daily came to CR Vanguard Supermarket near Xiying Road. A staff member in the vegetable area and fruit area said: "You can use 6 rolls of prepackaged bags every day, with about 500 bags per roll." A staff member of the customer service department said: "Shopping plastic bags cost 2 cents for small bags and 3 cents for large bags. On average, you can use 10 boxes per week, with 1,000 boxes per box. The free pre-packaged bags in the supermarket are provided by suppliers, and we have not made statistics. " During the visit, the reporter found that the supermarket also sells reusable shopping bags, ranging from a few yuan to a dozen yuan. "Not many people buy it." A cashier said.

Farmers’ market: no plastic bag substitute can be found.

Yesterday afternoon, the reporter came to Xin Zhuque Agricultural Trade Wholesale Market in Xi ‘an, and saw many colorful plastic bags hanging on the stalls, and some customers carried many plastic bags of different colors in their hands.

A female boss of a booth said: "When business is good, we can use about 10 plastic bags every day, 50 for each, and 5.5 for each. We spend 55 yuan on plastic bags every day and get 1650 yuan a month."

"You see, there are big and small bags in my house, a small bag with 3 pieces of 5, a big bag with 6 pieces of 5, and 7 pieces of 8 pieces. Almost 15 small bags can be used every day, and 5 large bags can be used every day, each of which is about 50, and about 750 small bags are needed every day. " The female boss of another booth said, "When customers buy a dish, they will use a bag alone."

Mr. Wang, deputy director of the market management office, said: "The market has been in operation for five years and there are three or four hundred merchants. These plastic bags are non-degradable, and we don’t want to, but we can’t find a substitute. Judging from the products currently on the market, plastic bags are low in cost and convenient to use, and everyone still has no other choice. "

Environmental experts: the government, enterprises and citizens need to work together.

Deng Shunxi, a professor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Chang ‘an University, said: "Plastic bags are mostly polyethylene, which cannot be degraded after being buried underground for hundreds of years. After burning, there are not only residues, but also harmful gases that pollute the environment."

"The plastic bag itself is not good, because the use cost is very low and it is very convenient. The most effective solution is to solve it from the source and develop and produce environmentally friendly and replaceable packaging bags." Deng Shunxi said that paper bags are not the best substitute. Plastic shopping bags are low in price, light, transparent, strong, waterproof, oil-proof and corrosion-resistant. "If paper packaging is used instead of plastic packaging, in order to achieve the performance of plastic bags, it is necessary to add plastics, aluminum foil and other substances to the paper, which will not only increase the cost, but also cause difficulties in recycling."

Deng Shunxi said that at present, the cost of making more environmentally friendly packaging bags will increase, but it still needs the joint efforts of the government, packaging bag manufacturers and citizens to develop and produce packaging bags with high cost performance and degradable pollution-free. On the other hand, citizens’ awareness of environmental protection needs to be enhanced, and reusable reusable shopping bags should be used as much as possible.

After eating damp and moldy millet, scientists found that male animals turned into mothers in succession.

Originality brings science home.

Seven kings of writing articles

Nowadays, more and more children’s puberty is ahead of their parents. What is the reason?

In addition to overnutrition, many studies now point to environmental endocrine disruptors, such as bisphenol A(BPA) in plastics, which can interfere with the endocrine system of humans and animals. But today we are going to introduce a stronger food-like hormone, which is widely found in grains, milk and other foods.

The name of this kind of hormone from food is Buddhist, but what it does is very coquettish. It is ZEN.

ZEN is a toxin synthesized by Fusarium fungi, and these fungi like grains best, so ZEN is widely distributed in moldy corn, sorghum, wheat and other grains, and is one of the most widely distributed mycotoxins in the world.

Fusarium, a common fungus that pollutes grains. Image source: wikipedia

In 2000, a report by the Joint FAO-WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA) named Safety Evaluation of Certain Food Additives and Containant pointed out that 30-40% of the world’s grain was polluted by ZEN, and the pollution situation in developing countries was more serious than that in developed countries.

Many studies have detected high concentrations of ZEN in local grains. Regina Schoental, a pathologist at the University of London, pointed out that in the wet harvest season, the ZEN content of barley and corn in the barn can exceed 100,000 ppb (100,000 parts per billion), which is 1,000 times higher than the upper limit of ZEN content of cereals set by the European Union for direct human consumption.

So, what impact will ZEN have on animals?

ZEN is similar to the animal estrogen estradiol in structure, so it is also called F-2 estrous toxin. Yes, you are right. ZEN’s effect means literally.

The estrogenic effect of ZEN was first discovered by American scientists in 1926. Many people know that soy products also contain phytoestrogens, but ZEN is much more powerful than them. At that time, after eating corn contaminated by ZEN because of moisture, pigs became sick-their reproductive organs and behaviors were abnormal.

What anomaly?

Because the function of ZEN is similar to estrogen, the bad things it does on livestock include but are not limited to: estrus cycle disorder, premature estrus, abortion and stillbirth, false pregnancy infertility, low pregnancy rate and so on. Animal studies have found that most animals will be adversely affected by ZEN, such as pigs, cows, sheep and rabbits.

For example, after eating the feed contaminated by ZEN, the newly weaned sow will have estrus symptoms, such as redness and swelling of the hindquarters.

After the boar ingests ZEN, it will also become feminized, such as the chest becomes bigger, the balls shrink, the number of sperm decreases, and abnormal sperm is produced. ZEN has a similar effect on cattle and sheep. If the bull before puberty is injected with 36 mg of ZEN, the circumference of the balls will become smaller, the genitals will degenerate and the semen quality will become worse.

Even more frightening is that only a low dose of ZEN (as low as 1ppm) can cause damage to the reproductive system of pigs.

Because of the losses caused by ZEN to animal husbandry, ZEN is often called the second invisible killer in pig industry after aflatoxin.

So, will human beings be influenced by ZEN?

ZEN can be quickly absorbed by the body through oral administration or even through the skin. After entering the human body, it likes to stick to tissues affected by estrogen, such as uterus and leydig cells of testis.

For children who have not yet entered puberty, because their natural estrogen level is very low, they are easily influenced by estrogen in the environment, thus being induced into precocious puberty and making their breasts develop rapidly.

In November, 1977, a school in Milan, Italy, showed that the breasts of girls and boys became bigger. Researchers at the University of Milan then studied more than 200 boys aged 3-14 and more than 100 girls aged 3-7. In 1979, they published this research in The Lancet.

These researchers found that the breasts of children of all ages in this school are bigger than their peers in other schools, regardless of gender, and this phenomenon appeared in children aged 3-5.

These researchers believe that the reason why the students’ breasts are getting bigger in this school is that the grain and meat in the canteen of this school are polluted by estrogen.

Cereals can also understand, what is the problem of meat being contaminated by estrogen?

It turned out that shortly after the estrogen-like effect of ZEN was discovered, scientists found that low-dose ZEN was helpful to promote sexual maturity and gain meat in livestock. Therefore, ZEN and its derivatives have been sold as fattening agents for livestock for a long time. At that time, animal husbandry in many countries, including Italy, fed these synthetic growth promoters to livestock.

Zearalanol (trade name Ralgro), a derivative of ZEN, is now used to promote livestock fattening.

From 1978 to 1984, a large-scale precocious puberty incident occurred in Puerto Rico, which was attributed by many studies to the residue of ZEN or its derivative α‐ZAL (livestock is strong) in dairy products and meat products.

However, a study published in The Journal of Pediatrics in 2008 directly pointed the high incidence of precocious puberty in girls in northwest Italy to ZEN through blood tests.

Let’s look at the situation in our country. In 2012, researchers from Anhui Medical University analyzed the ZEN content in the blood of 78 children diagnosed with precocious puberty in 2009-2010, and found that the ZEN level in these China children was significantly higher than that of their peers without precocious puberty.

As more and more evidence supports the influence of ZEN on children and human reproduction, the World Health Organization recommends that the maximum tolerable daily intake of ZEN is 0.5 micrograms, while the EU’s recommendation is 0.25 micrograms per kilogram of body weight per day.

Although human beings are beginning to realize the harm of ZEN, it does not mean that we have an effective way to remove it. Another danger of ZEN is that it is a very stable substance, even at the temperature of 150 degrees Celsius, ZEN will not decompose. In other words, ordinary families can’t remove ZEN from food by cooking.

However, the traditional physical and chemical methods can not remove ZEN without destroying the nutritional components of grain, so ZEN detoxification of grain has become an agricultural technical problem.

The existing detoxification methods include enzymatic mildew remover, montmorillonite adsorption and so on, but these are only laboratory studies and have not been applied on a large scale. In daily life, the methods of removing ZEN are not beautiful, such as lime water soaking and chlorination.

Because of the reproductive toxicity of ZEN to human beings and livestock and the difficulty of detoxification, the European Union banned the use of ZEN as an animal feed additive in 1988. In 2010, our country also listed the derivative of ZEN, α-ZAL, as a non-edible substance (but it can be used as a feed additive). China’s national standard (GB 13078.2-2006) also stipulates the maximum limit of ZEN in feed.

So how can ordinary consumers reduce the harm of ZEN?

The advice of the World Health Organization is: buy fresh grains as much as possible, store them in a dry and cool place, discard the damp and moldy parts in time, and don’t store them for too long without eating.
