CCTV News:At present, 9,000 mu of peppers in Xingping City, Shaanxi Province have a bumper harvest. The fields and drying fields are full of busy scenes of picking, drying and transporting peppers.

In the pepper planting base of Xiqiao Village, Sangzhen, Xingping City, Shaanxi Province, villagers are busy picking in the pepper field.

Pepper grower Zhang Yinxing:The weather is fine this year, and there is a bumper harvest in chili pepper. We can sell it for 10,000 yuan, dry it and bring it to our house, and the merchants will come.

Picked peppers are sent by farmers to professional cooperatives for drying. The drying field of Xingping Agricultural Cooperative is covered with red peppers, and there are five indoor clean energy baking ovens, each of which can bake about 10,000 Jin of fresh peppers at a time.

Sangzhen is one of the main pepper producing areas in Xingping. Through cooperative seedling raising, base planting, enterprise acquisition and processing, and farmers’ participation in the whole process, the pepper industry chain has been formed, which has stimulated the surrounding villages to plant peppers, effectively promoting agricultural efficiency and increasing farmers’ income.
