The first plain wind farm project in China has an average annual power generation of 210 million kWh.

Xinhua News Agency, Zhengzhou, March 2 (Reporter Li Peng) The reporter learned from the Henan Provincial Committee of Industry and Information Technology that the Runqing 100MW wind farm project in qingfeng county, Puyang City, Henan Province has been successfully connected to the grid for power generation recently, which indicates that the first self-contained plain wind farm project in China has been put into operation, filling the gap in this field in China.

It is reported that Runqing 100MW plain wind farm project is located in the west of qingfeng county and invested by Beijing Tianrun New Energy Investment Co., Ltd.. In early 2015, the project was included in the fifth batch of wind power projects approved by the National Energy Administration in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, and construction started in February 2016.

A total of 50 wind turbines with a stand-alone capacity of 2MW are installed in the project. The hub height of the wind farm fan is 100 meters, the impeller diameter is 115 meters, and the total installed capacity is 100MW. A 35KV distribution room and a 110KV booster station are built, with a total investment of 860 million yuan.

After the project is completed, the average annual power generation will reach 210 million kWh, and 60,400 tons of standard coal, 150,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 683 tons of sulfur dioxide can be saved every year. The project put into operation not only has good economic benefits, but also 50 large-scale wind turbines stand on the plain and become a unique local landscape.
